Why do some rock/metal listeners seem narrow-minded?
I went on ultimate guitar and they talked about a possible reunion of The Darkness and in the comments most of them were saying the same thing "the 2nd album sucked" "their stuff should be more like permission to land, the first album, the 2nd was s***" and ive heard the same to do with great bands like KISS, AC/DC and Metallica. strange enough to me it seems like their opinions are exactly the same as the critics who rated the album...are people just being brainwashed by the media on this one? it feels like they aren't true fans cause their decision is being influenced by 1 person (who's opinion doesnt really matter)
realize the title says ROCK and METAL.....and i didnt claim that KISS, AC/DC and Metallica are "metal" bands i said they are "great bands"

Yes The Darkness are coming back this year, I think it's definitely happening. As far as The Darkness are concerned, i've seen people write them off as a novelty/joke band but it really isn't true. They're a very misunderstood band, excellent live, great songwriters. Personally I love both of their albums. But yeah I suppose there is a lot of ignorance out there, people ignoring good bands just because of silly ideas they have about them which aren't true
