Sonic Radio Control

Which is the best plane for a beginner?
I'm due to purchase an RC plane, but I have no clue what to get, my dad said to buy something cheap, but I'm worried that it is so cheap and tacky, rubbish flier and that.
But if I get an expensive one, say £70 one, I could break it instantly when it crashes, and I'm 13 and wouldn't be able to repair it!
Help!
I also found these too, they are trainers, are they any good?

(i want to become an expert by the way, someone who will get the title best R.C pilot around or something like that!)
Please
Help!
If you would like to recommend a certain plane, please tell me what you like about it and rate it, and say aspects that are good as well as not so good. =) appreciates Epic .R.
My experience says you should really start with quality equipment if you are serious about the RC hobby. These two planes are really just toys and not hobby level, they will do little more than frustrate you when they break, or after a few hours of flying when you've mastered their limited ability. The cost of good hobby quality equipment is quite high, however if you want to stay in the hobby, this equipment will last many years through many planes. Start will a good simulator, this is a great way to learn the basics, then hone your skills, then try advanced aerobatics when you are ready without risk to your plane. The simulator will also help you decide what kind of flying you like, so you know the right kind of plane would be good for your next purchase. Most ready to fly cheap airplane packages are not worth the expense as the equipment is very poor quality. One exception to this is the eFlight Apprentice RTF package. This is currently my favorite trainer I recommend to my students. This is a plane that is fantastic to learn on, durable, easy to find part for, can perform more advanced manuvures and looks great on top of it all! Be sure to find a local club that can help you set up your plane and get the hang of flying it before you start out alone.
