How much does it cost to run a Mac Mini 24/7?
I'm looking to buy and use the newest Mac Mini model (slower processor) as a media center, DVR, Skype, email, etc machine and would have to run it 24/7 (for skype and DVR). Does anyone know how much this would cost in electricity bills per year? I know prices on juice vary from place to place, but on average, how much would it cost? I live in California, I havent gotten my first electricity bill yet, so I dont know how much it costs per kw/h for me. I also dont know how much juice a Mac Mini uses. Anyone know?
it uses about 110 watts per hour, so you can run it for about 10 hours, for what ever you are paying per killowatt hour. thats probably 10 - 30 cents.
