Brushless Motor Upgrade
upgrading traxxas rustler vxl motor?
i have a traxxas rustler vxl and i was wondering if it was possible to fit the flux tork brushless motor and blur speed controller from the hpi savage flux.
also can you modify the wheelie bar to fit the rustler? this way i could do the standing back flips that the savage flux can do.
i think the flux system uses 2 lipo battery's so is there a way to modify the truck to allow 2 battery's.
this seems insane i know as it already spends most of its time on its back but has anyone got any suggestions about this.

Yeah, it will fit on your Rustler. You just have to make sure the mount will line up the motor and spur. If not, go with the HPI mount. There is always a way to mod and mount parts from other brands....you just have to be a little creative to make it work. Build your own mounts and mounting brackets, extensions, etc. I don't have a Rustler but I would think you could stack the batteries and use a velcro strap or zip tie to hold them together and in place. And you would need a Y connector for both batteries to hook up to the esc. That Flux system is pretty sweet and would turn that Rusty into a beast!
