I've heard a pc power supply is good for running a car amp. How many will it take before it becomes too much?
I want to power a car amp in the house and have heard a pc power supply can be a good source. How much will it take before it becomes too much to handle and i have to start using a second power supply?
Go to maplins, you can buy power supplys for gaming pc's up to 500 amps cheaply.
PC transformers are excellent for audio applications as they give a very smooth supply that minimizes background noise, if you wanted to you could also run a USB hub from the 5v side for an ipod or mp3 player.
